About Me

Hi, I’m Lee-Anne and I’m crazy passionate about health, fitness and living a happy life.

I graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Neuroscience and then went on to pursue a Master’s in Neuropsychology from the University of Kent.

This is my story: I have suffered from pretty serious depression from the age of 12, which included two suicide attempts. I treated my body, mind and relationships badly and lived under a dark cloud for a very long time. One day I woke up and realized that if I wanted to be happy I had to start taking charge of my life and mind. I didn’t want to take antidepressants or anything else that would interfere with me feeling what I was supposed to feel, so instead I decided that my solutions were within me. With this shift in my attitude and energy I started to notice that I was inviting more positive gifts and energy from the Universe. Within a couple of years I met my husband, became a vegetarian and completely changed how I treat my body and soul. Although I still struggle with dark emotions some days, I have found the strength to fight the things that do not serve me and rise above it all, happy and grateful for my blessings. I will live with depression forever, but I accept that it is a part of me and instead of focusing on the negative I have chosen to use this ‘gift’ to appreciate my life and treat myself with absolute kindness.

One thing I learned from my experiences is that I want to help people live happier and healthier lives. Everything I post is something that I am passionate about and excited to share with you. This blog is my way of sharing all my research, experience and opinions that I hope will help you lead a healthier life.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to hear from you all!
